Anti Spam Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Leadhaus sends business to business outreach on behalf of our clients. That places a responsibility on us to do it properly, and this policy sets out exactly how we do that, what we will not do, and how anyone who receives our email can stop it immediately.

We take this seriously for a practical reason as well as an ethical one. Sending irresponsibly destroys sender reputation, and a damaged domain is worthless to the client who owns it. Compliance and results point the same way.

1. The rules we work within

Leadhaus operates under UK law and applies the same standards to international sending.

UK GDPR.B2B outreach is conducted under the legitimate interest lawful basis. We assess relevance before contact, meaning the message must relate to the recipient's professional role and the business they work for. We hold a record of that assessment.

PECR. The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations permit direct marketing to corporate subscribers. Where a campaign involves individual subscribers or sole traders, we apply the stricter consent and soft opt in rules that PECR requires.

CAN-SPAM. For contacts in the United States we meet the requirements of the CAN-SPAM Act: accurate header and sender information, no deceptive subject lines, a clear opt out mechanism, and a valid postal address.

2. Where our contact data comes from

Every contact we generate comes from public or otherwise legitimate sources. Depending on the audience, those include Companies House, professional registries, public LinkedIn data, industry directories, HM Land Registry, planning permission portals, and public social conversations on platforms that permit data access.

We do not buy scraped lists from third party brokers, and we do not use data obtained through breach, deception, or scraping of private areas of any platform.

3. What every message we send contains

Without exception, every email sent through Leadhaus infrastructure includes:

  • Accurate sender identification. The recipient can see who is contacting them and on behalf of which business.
  • A subject line that reflects the actual content of the message.
  • A working one click unsubscribe link.
  • A valid postal address for the sending business.
  • Genuine relevance to the recipient's role, not a generic blast to whoever happens to be on a list.

4. What we will never do

  • Buy, sell, rent, or resell contact databases. Data generated for a client belongs to that client alone.
  • Run the same contact list across multiple clients.
  • Disguise the identity of the sender or use misleading reply addresses.
  • Use false or baiting subject lines to force an open.
  • Continue contacting anyone who has unsubscribed or asked us to stop.
  • Send to addresses harvested from a data breach.
  • Ignore bounce and complaint signals to keep volume up.

5. How to stop receiving our email

Click the unsubscribe link in any message. That removes you permanently and immediately.

Unsubscribes are added to a global suppression list that applies across every Leadhaus client account, not only the campaign you were contacted through. Once you have opted out, you will not be contacted again through our infrastructure by any client.

If a link ever fails, or you would rather deal with a person, contact us through theleadhaus.io/contact and we will action the removal manually and confirm it to you.

6. How we protect deliverability and recipients

We throttle daily sending volume per client rather than pushing for maximum output. We monitor bounce rates, complaint rates, and engagement continuously, and where a campaign begins to underperform we pause it and adjust before it damages the sending domain or annoys more recipients.

Hard bounces are removed permanently and automatically. Repeated non engagement results in a contact being suppressed rather than chased indefinitely.

7. Client obligations

Clients using Leadhaus agree to the terms of this policy. Specifically, clients must not upload contact data they do not have a lawful basis to use, must not use our infrastructure to send content that is deceptive or unlawful, and must not attempt to circumvent unsubscribe handling.

We reserve the right to pause or terminate any account that breaches this policy, without refund of the current billing period, where that breach places recipients or our infrastructure at risk.

8. Sectors we decline

We do not work with adult content, gambling, payday lending, or any sector restricted by UK financial promotion or advertising rules. We also decline campaigns built on misleading claims, regardless of sector.

9. Reporting a problem

If you have received a message through our infrastructure that you believe breaches this policy, please report it through theleadhaus.io/contact. Include the sending address and, if you can, the message itself.

We investigate every report. Where a client is found to be in breach, we act on the account. Where the fault is ours, we fix it and tell you what changed.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office:

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in law or in our practices. Where changes are material we will notify registered clients by email. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
